Lauren Jumps
Challenge
Rethinking app design for technical, progression led movement.
Lauren Jumps inspired millions across social media by making jump rope look effortless, rhythmic and accessible. Her real strength came from breaking down complicated footwork into small, manageable drills. When the time came to turn that teaching style into a dedicated digital product, standard market tools hit an immediate wall.
Conventional fitness app templates are built around counting calories, timing circuits or tracking sets and reps in a gym. Jump rope does not work like that. It is a coordination skill much closer to learning an instrument or a language.
Pouring video tutorials into a generic white label library would have overwhelmed beginners and hidden their natural progression path. Fully automated code generation tools similarly fell short, unable to handle the layered conditional logic needed to guide someone safely through hundreds of movement dependencies. The brief required a bespoke product team capable of translating physical coordination into an intuitive, sequential digital roadmap.

Solution
A inspired skill map built around natural movement pathways.
We partnered with Lauren to build Fancy Feats from the ground up, designing an experience that feels closer to an interactive learning game than a traditional workout tracker. Pangolin sits between restrictive off the shelf templates and prohibitive custom agency builds, giving Lauren the freedom to start with core interactive loops and continually expand features as her community grew.
At the heart of the app is a visual skill tree governed by smart conditional logic. Users cannot simply jump ahead to high risk tricks. Instead, the architecture tracks completed drills, checks off foundational footwork and unlocks new variations step by step. Each content type behaves differently within the player, pairing high frame rate movement breakdowns with tempo controls and guided loop repetitions so members can practise at their own pace.
Community features sit right beside the training paths, giving users a supportive space to share milestones, troubleshoot tricky footwork and celebrate small wins. Alongside the mobile applications, we designed and built a comprehensive knowledge base website that answers buyer questions, handles equipment recommendations and acts as the primary sales engine for mobile subscriptions.

Execution
Collaborative mapping, custom logic trees and connected systems.
Transforming skipping routines into an interactive curriculum required close collaboration across product discovery, design sprints and technical systems architecture. Our team worked alongside Lauren to map out every single trick transition, writing the underlying rule sets that govern how users advance through the journey.
We developed the native iOS and Android apps alongside an adaptable web ecosystem that Lauren’s team can update without technical friction. Key product features include:
A visual skill progression tree powered by custom conditional logic to guide sustainable habit formation
Bespoke video players supporting mirrored views, adjustable playback speeds and continuous looping for focused practice
Distinct behaviour pathways for varied content types, separating multi week programmes from bite sized skill drills
Integrated community hubs where members share progress clips and exchange advice safely
A centralised knowledge base and marketing website designed to capture high intent search traffic and convert visitors into active subscribers

Results
Strong conversion, low churn and a custom digital home.
Fancy Feats launched to immediate international enthusiasm, turning Lauren’s social following into a dedicated and paying student base within days. The gamified curriculum structure solved the usual drop off points associated with learning a difficult physical skill, keeping users motivated as they visually unlock each branch of the tree.
The custom web and mobile ecosystem continues to adapt as Lauren introduces new programmes, challenges and content styles. By pairing technical product thinking with an understanding of human motivation, Fancy Feats shows how creator led fitness brands can build digital platforms that outlast transient social algorithms.
