Challenge
Bridging the sports data gap
Padel is fast, tactical, and hard to self-assess: players know they’re losing points but rarely know why. Existing tools asked too much of the player, requiring manual setup before any insight appeared.
We needed to remove that friction entirely, automating the data pipeline so meaningful analysis needs zero setup, translating complex spatial data into visual stories players can actually read, and building in the shareability that turns solo practice into a social game.

Solution
The ‘scan, play, review’ ecosystem
We designed and built a three-part ecosystem: the mobile app, a court-side kiosk, and the AI engine behind them, connected end to end.
The interface uses a dark, premium aesthetic suited to elite Padel clubs, with high-contrast accents that foreground the data itself, from winning zones on the court to break points in a match, and the PadX Player Score, a proprietary rating that turns raw match data into a single evolving number players can track over time.

Execution
Real-time processing built for the court, not the lab
The engineering challenge was speed: syncing a club’s fixed on-court cameras with a player’s live mobile session in real time, then turning raw video into insight within minutes.
We mapped player movement onto a virtual court grid for true tactical positioning, built automated event detection to flag serves, rallies and unforced errors without manual tagging, and layered in shot classification to track trajectories and effectiveness, the foundation for the highlights, heatmaps and scoring players see in the app.

Results
Impact players felt from day one
Early testing made it clear this would change how players see their own game. Someone can go from arriving at the court to recording a session in under five seconds, with no setup in the way.
Partner clubs picked up a tech-forward edge that helped retain members, and the automated highlights created a social loop, players sharing their own match moments, that lifted organic mentions for both the clubs and the PadX brand.
